The basic idea for GoBunion was born in 2016 when Sarita, the founder, had been struggling with the deformity of her big toe for over 11 years. The pain and the inability to walk or stand for long periods of time had a major impact on her life. Sarita decided to test all available products that promised relief. However, all of them turned out to be uncomfortable, cumbersome or not suitable for everyday use.
The turning point came when Sarita came across thong socks . She finally found a solution that not only gave her relief, but also enabled her to focus on the important things in life again. With the desire to help other people in similar situations, Sarita decided to take her idea to the public.
She dared to enter the "Lion's Den", a popular startup show, and was accepted straight away. With her patents and a convincing business plan, she managed to convince two investors. Between offers from Georg Kofler and Ralf Dümmel, she finally decided on Ralf Dümmel, who not only offered financial support, but also valuable experience and a broad network.
Since then, GoBunion has come a long way. With over 130,000 satisfied customers, the company has not only realized Sarita's vision, but has also helped many people to relieve their foot pain and live a more active life. Sarita's dedication and determination are an inspiring example of how a personal challenge can lead to a successful business start-up.
